Most of us notice a crown or a suit of armour. Far fewer stop to read what every figure is wearing, and what it says about them. Tarot Clothing Lookup marks 171 clothing details across the deck. Bring up any card, press the one you are drawn to, and see what it is and the keywords linked to it.

A crown or a bare head, a heavy robe or a plain tunic, armour or a cloak pulled close each tell you something about the figure. Once you can read one, you can read it wherever it appears.

Use it to learn the clothing at your own pace, or keep it open beside your own cards while you read. It will not give you a reading. It gives you the words, and you put the answer together yourself.

What a figure wears shows you who they are being in the card.

Two figures can do the same thing and tell you something completely different. One wears a crown. The other wears a worker's tunic. One is wrapped up tight, the other is open to the world.

Reading the clothing tells you about role, status, duty and how guarded or open someone is. It is one of the quickest ways to see who you are dealing with in a card.

Tarot Clothing Lookup is based on my own way of reading and teaching tarot, the Clear Cut Tarot Method. I read and teach tarot as a visual language. The proper name for that is visual semiotics. In plain words, I teach you to read what is drawn on the card.
